Tom Kerner, CFP®

Tom grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, where his father is a third-generation small business owner. Tom grew up around hard work, planning, and client relationships and has held these values throughout his life. Playing sports throughout his life shaped his leadership skills and strong desire to be a part of a high performing team like Wealth Planning.

Tom attended the Pennsylvania State University where he earned a degree in Finance. He had a wide array of extracarricular involvement, but his favorite was his time as a Business Statistics Tutor. That experience helped Tom develop his voice as a teacher and let his passion for helping others become a core principle to his work.

Tom began his career at Baird in June 2020 as a PWM Foundations Associate in Milwaukee. His time in the home office helped him develop long-lasting relationships and embrace Baird’s unique culture. He joined the Wealth Planning department in January 2022 and has been working out of the Charlotte office since. Tom recently became the Manager of the Wealth Planning Associates and has loved every step of his growth within the team.
